Pour yourself a beverage and settling in for some incredible inspiration! These couples included beautiful, inspiring, and downright fun reception details for their 2022 Vermont weddings. (You’ll want to steal these ideas for your Pinterest board for sure.)

Below are the editorial picks the best reception details; give them a look and scroll to see your (two!) favorites in our Readers Choice Awards below!

The Sit Down Stunner

We would love to pull up a seat and admire this tablescape Jaclyn Watson Events helped design for this stunning Topnotch Resort wedding. It’s full of color, depth and gorgeous details.

The Love Language

This is one of the cutest, most unique dinner menus I’ve seen! The cheeky message “Food is our Love Language” adds a fun element on this elegant tablescape at Farm Road Estate.

Chopped (Readers Choice Awards Winner)

Want to give your guests a unique experience? How about an axe-throwing competition?! That’s exactly what this couple did for their Mansfield Barn wedding!

Ring Ring (Readers Choice Awards Winner)

This couple greeted their guests will an interactive drink wall; guests rang one of the bells and a server’s gloved hand popped through a frame with a personal glass of bubbly! This is such a fun twist on a champagne welcome that Sara Judith Events helped to bring to life.

The Foodies

This couple had a delicious, farm to table BBQ dinner for their Silhouette Hill reception, and even got involved themselves! Yum!

Bouncing for Joy

The matching heart sunglasses … the white bounce house… everything about this reception screams FUN! A bounce house is an unexpected, fun reception addition that will be enjoyed by guests of all ages!

Leave a Message

In lieu of a tradition guestbook, this couple opted for a voicemail guestbook. This is such a fun interactive idea for guests, and allows you to capture personal audio from your loved ones!

Love You Stowe Much

This punny neon sign is just one of the many thoughtful details from this Stowe wedding planned by NJOY Weddings & Events. This would be such a fun detail to take pictures with during the reception, and to decorate with at home post-wedding bliss!

Marvelous Mushrooms

This couple played off the natural beauty of Lareau Farm Inn with these unique handmade mushroom table details, wild flowers, and mismatched vases. The overall effect is earthy, boho and beautiful!

Botanical Beauty

This seating chart by Blossoming Bough is truly stunning! We love the mix of botanical prints, wildflowers, antique library trays, and seed favors. Absolutely gorgeous!

Under the Lights

We would love to be on outdoor dance floor at Lake Bomoseen Lodge, and by the looks of it, so did the guests! Destinations Found helped create a dreamy dance oasis under the trees with a canopy of lights for this lovely reception.

Love Won

This couple included a bold, rainbow colored Love Wins sign for their wedding reception, which made for a perfect, super fun photo backdrop! Based on their smiles, we think it’s clear: love has won these two over!

Best of 2022: Wedding Florals

Flowers are the ultimate wedding accessory. Whether in a bouquet, adorned on an arbor, or decorating a tablescape, wedding florals add that extra something to each celebration.

Editorial Picks for Best Vermont Wedding Florals

Vermont wedding florists crafted countless gorgeous creations this year, and after culling through the stunning submissions, I narrowed it down to our editorial picks for the best Vermont wedding florals of 2022.

After swooning over them, you voted for your Readers Choice Awards winner – see who below!

Falling in Love (Readers Choice Awards Winner)

I love the use of orange and corals in these fall bouquets by Fleur Du Nord Farm. They perfectly pop against the dark green bridesmaid dresses and are the sweetest nod to the beautiful Vermont foliage at Sterling Ridge Resort.

A Petal Party

I couldn’t narrow a favorite in this submission from Blossoming Bough – the arbor; the aisle runners; the bouquet; the tablescape… all topped with a post ceremony petal toss?! It’s chef’s kiss.

The Dreamiest Arbor

Truly one of the most stunning arbors I’ve ever seen. Tipsy Tulip Designs crafted the perfect, romantic backdrop for this couple’s wedding ceremony at The Essex. (Their outfits, her in a gown from Fiori Bridal and him in a suit from McNeil & Reedy add to the glamour.)

A Blizzard Beauty

The all white floral scheme is classic and oh-so elegant for this winter wedding. Florist Jasmine of A Clover and One Bee, shared that there was a major snowstorm that day, and she rode in a snowplow to personally deliver the bouquet to the bride! (Doesn’t get more Vermont than that!)

Bold and Beautiful

These coral peonies steal the show, and the lilac is a stunning, unexpected compliment. I can only imagine this bouquet by M’s Wedding Flowers was as sweetly fragrant as it is boldly beautiful!

The Sunshine Day

This arbor by Flower Power VT makes me want to break into into song – “it’s going to be a bright, bright, sunshiny day!” I can’t think of a better backdrop for a beautiful, joyful summer wedding celebration. Even more amazing: all the blooms are grown on Anne’s farm!

Forever in Bloom

These custom, resin bookends by Tanglewood Floral Preservation are the most creative and beautiful way to remember your wedding day – and preserve your wedding flowers! Such a treasure for years to come.

Whimsical and Elegant Summer Wedding at Lake Willoughby

This lakeside summer wedding at Lake Willoughby was right out of a dream! Jess and Jared’s love story began in Vermont over a cup of 802 coffee, and they’ve loved exploring Vermont together ever since. When they across Lake Willoughby together, they immediately fell in love.

Jess and Jared knew this was the perfect place to invite their family and friends to celebrate their marriage. The summery pastel colors tied everything together and blended perfectly with the lake backdrop. All of the amazing florals were locally sourced by Blossoming Bough Flowers

Quintessential Vermont Summer Wedding

Of all the seasons, summer in the Northeast Kingdom is nothing short of magical. Jess and Jared aimed to curate a wedding weekend full of everything they love about Vermont. The venue and cabins at Willoughby Haven and the Willoughvale Inn brought everyone together in beautiful accommodations for all of their guests.

The weekend offered a delicate balance of whimsical elegance and a summer camp reunion. Jess and Jared made food and entertainment top priorities for their guests complete with kayaks, maple creemees, local beverages, wood-fired fare, campfires, and even a signature wild blueberry basil mocktail.

The welcome bags for their guests included gifts, jam, and maple candies sourced from Willey’s general store in Greensboro.

Breathtaking Lake Views at Lake Willoughby

This couple took advantage of the lake views whenever possible! They chose to do the first look out on the dock and had their ceremony on the beach overlooking the water and the mountains. The portraits on the beach at sunset are some of my favorites!  They hosted the reception under a beautifully decorated tent for dinner and dancing.  Amanda at Pine Events Co. offered invaluable support as the executive designer and planner to make everything perfect for this wedding! AN CLASSICALLY ELEGANT INTIMATE WEDDING AT THE INN AT WEATHERSFIELD

This lovely wedding is prettier than a picture. Hosted at the Inn at Weathersfield, beautiful details and heartfelt celebration combine for this wow-worthy, intimate wedding. (Which happened to fall on the bride’s parents’ 39th wedding anniversary!) Honestly, we can’t say we’re surprised; the bride, Liz, is the wedding sales manager at Topnotch Resort, so she has an industry insider’s perspective!

The Benefits of a Microwedding

Liz and Scott had to reschedule their wedding not once, but three times due to the pandemic. They ended up dropping their guest list from 120 people to 25, and although the hassle of rescheduling was exhausting, the end result was amazing. “We never would have been ones to suggest a microwedding, but after it happened, we realized that we got to spend a full weekend with our immediate families and closest friends without distractions,” says Liz.

Inspired by the Vermont lakes and a breezy vibe, they created a truly magical setting. Classic white and pastel blooms by Blossoming Bough added effortless elegance to the event. Kelsey Regan Photography captured the beauty and love of the day. Check out the full gallery below!

BLACK TIE STOWE WEDDING FILLED WITH HAPPY TEARS

Elegant and joyful – those were the two words that came to mind when I saw Olivia and Jake’s wedding gallery. The UVM sweethearts tied the knot at Topnotch Resort in Stowe with an elegant, black tie, tent wedding this summer.

The details of their day are gorgeous. From Olivia’s beaded-back wedding dress (with pockets!), to classic black wedding party attire, to the lush florals and exquisite decor throughout the reception tent, their style is so elegant. The couple also wove countless meaningful details into their decor, including their Chuppah, which was built by Olivia’s family from trees from where she grew up!

The couple’s excitement is also palpable. “There were many happy tears!” says photographer Danielle Allendorf. The joy radiating from this couple is what truly stands out in their gallery, and makes it such a fun one to share.

A COLORFUL, ROMANTIC SPRINGTIME STYLED SHOOT

When this romantic styled shoot showed up in our inbox we may have audibly sighed. It’s so dreamy!

“We wanted to create a romantic, Old World-inspired session that focused on the vitality of spring,” says photographer Julia.

Unique Wedding Ceremony Floral Installation on a Tree

Blossoming Bough brought this vision to life with lush florals (we especially dig the floral installation on the tree for a ceremony backdrop), a tablescape with natural details like moss and quail eggs, and a dreamy, colorful bespoke stationery suite.
