Wild Sugar Homestead

Venue

Wild Sugar Homestead is a stunning, rustic wedding venue perfect for couples who want to create a unique wedding experience in a place that showcases Vermont’s natural beauty.

In Their Own Words:

With a stunning view of the White Mountains, an on-site pond and direct access to the Tucker Mountain Town Forest trail network, Wild Sugar Homestead is a magical place to gather and celebrate love.

We tend to attract folks who are looking for a hands-on wedding experience. We believe that engaging in a do-it-yourself wedding enhances the overall experience because it makes every aspect of the day intentional, sentimental, and unique. Your wedding will be the only wedding like it!

Weddings at Wild Sugar allow each couple the opportunity to host a weekend long event, structured as they see fit. There is ample space for a crew of loved ones to stay both in the homestead itself and outside where our capacity for tent camping is almost unlimited. This means your wedding could be 20 or 200 of your closest people.

The Homestead is located in the conservation district of West Newbury, VT. In keeping with our mission to steward the land as a community gathering place that is sustainable, regenerative, and resilient, we open our doors to only 10 weddings per year.

We (venue owners Hallie and Erik) got married on our property in August of 2022 and our hearts just about burst seeing our friends and family gather at Wild Sugar from Thursday to Sunday, all in the name of designing a bespoke celebration of our love. As a wedding photographer (Hallie) and a consummate DIY-er and property manager (Erik), we are so excited to get in there and help right alongside you!

Favorite Moment During a Wedding: We love Wild Sugar ceremonies because they are filled with genuine outpourings of love, and often represent a release point for couples – time to revel in the result of all the planning and hard work!

Favorite Vermont Activity: Pressing our own cider from our own trees. Actually, waiting for it to be hard cider, then drinking it with friends!
